About Us
The Rockport Art Association pays tribute to the art of Cape Ann, past and present. With a membership of 250 artist and photography members and over 1,000 contributing members, the organization serves as a cultural beacon, providing art education, exhibitions and lectures, and also serves as a venue for concerts, plays and private functions. The Building
The RAA is a charming colonial style structure in the heart of Rockport's historical district. There are two large main galleries as well as three smaller galleries on the first floor. The galleries feature off-white walls, soaring ceilings and polished hardwood floors, providing the perfect backdrop for the regional art on display from member shows, our permanent collection and special retrospectives.

The Maddocks Gallery is frequently used as a wedding chapel. There is a baby grand piano available for rental. Both galleries are heated and air conditioned, and the facility features modern rest rooms. The Main Street building has a staging kitchen, as well as two galleries.  The Main Street  building and main galleries are connected by a charming cobblestone courtyard.


Availability and Capacity

The adjoining Hibbard and Maddocks Galleries comprise the rental space at the Rockport Art Association.

The Rockport Art Association is available for functions any day of the week throughout the year, beginning after the association closes at 5 pm during peak season and at 4 pm in the off-season.

The Galleries can accommodate up to 150 guests for a sit-down dinner, or up to 250 guests for a cocktail reception.

Parking
Parking is available for your guests, caterer and service people (for approximately 50 cars) at the Rockport National Bank parking lot adjacent to the RAA. Arrangements to reserve the lot should be made immediately after booking your event. Please call 978-546-3411 to make your reservations. Street parking is also available.

The Bank requires the use of a police detail during your event for a four hour minimum. The fee is $178.90, and arrangements can be made by contacting Linda Landry at 978-546-1212.
