JOANNA CALABRO’s thought-infused landscapes, still lifes, and figures are painted with classical drawing methods and spontaneity of expression. Atmosphere and the subtleties of light play a leading role in her work.
Calabro’s paintings were chosen for the United States Embassy in Slovakia with a reception in Washington, DC. Her work has been featured in publications including Southwest Art, Best of Oil Painting, Gallery of Marine Arts, Goddess for Every Season, Portrait Inspirations, and numerous others. She has shown in many national shows including New York City, Denver and Texas, and her work is included in many private and corporate collections worldwide.
She is a member of the Guild of Boston Artists, Rockport Art Association, Copley Society, Oil Painters of America and American Artists Professional League. Calabro is listed in Who’s Who In American Women and Who’s Who in American Art.
