LISA A. MORRELL was brought up in the studio of her father Wayne Morrell. At age six she studied at the RAA under Frank Lotito; later studying briefly with John Terelak at the Gloucester Academy, with Jack Callahan in Rockport, and at Montserrat College of Art; and with Daniel Greene, NA in New York.
Lisa thanks God for all she has. She is also an avid horsewoman, gourmet cook, gardener and animal lover. “Living here”, she says, “ is an inspiring place to be and grow.
Many great artists, past and present have come to Cape Ann to paint the sea, quaint villages and exceptional moods of light. Remembering George Bernard Shaw’s lively line ‘Fine art is the only teacher, except torture!’ I truly believe fine art is inimitably essential depiction and one of the most enriching of life’s treasures.” Exhibits: The Morrell Gallery, Academic Artists, and Mont Crest of Tennessee. Collections: United States and abroad.
