Fees

Facility rental for the full use of our galleries is $1,500.

Rental is for five hours beginning at 5 or 5:30pm. One-half the total fee is required as a deposit to reserve the space, with the balance due 60 days prior to the event. Your rental fee includes access to the following:

Wedding Ceremony: The Maddocks Gallery is available, configured as a chapel, at no additional cost. If an after-hours dress rehearsal is desired, there is a fee of $200.

Bridal Suite: A private Bridal Suite in our Martha Moore room is included with the rental. This is a lovely area to relax and freshen up, and the stairway leading down to the courtyard interlude is a unique location for picture taking.

Chairs: 200 burgundy, straight-back, padded hotel-style chairs are included with the rental. 5 rustic wooden benches or “pews”, which seat 5-6 people, are also available for use.

Piano: Our beautiful baby grand piano can be used for playing, or as a surface for gifts or your guest book.

Access to the Galleries: The client has access to our galleries from 2-5pm the day before the event for setting up and decorating. Additional setup times can be arranged.


Cancellation Fees

Notification of cancellation of a definite reservation is required in writing to the Rockport Art Association. Should the Rockport Art Association rebook the date with a comparable rental, the Association will refund one half of the deposit paid.


Decorations

The galleries provide a beautiful artistic setting to compliment your linens and flowers. However, if you wish to add lighting, draped fabric, garlands, etc., please discuss with us prior to your event.


Photographs

Both the RAA and scenic Rockport provide many beautiful settings for your event photography – from romantic beaches to tranquil meadows, our Event Coordinator is happy to suggest many picturesque areas just a stone’s throw away from the Art Association. 


Catering Responsibilities & Provisions

Caterers and catering staff are responsible for set-up, clean-up and dismantling of all tables and chairs and removal of trash after the event. Our kitchen is available for use by the caterer, and includes a small gas stove, household sized refrigerator, double sink with disposal and counter and table space. If your caterer has not catered an event at the RAA, it is required that he or she meet with our Event Coordinator and visit the facility 60 days prior to the event, providing they are fully licensed and insured to cater events in the State of Massachusetts.


Liquor Liability License

It is the responsibility of the caterer, bartender or person renting the galleries to provide liquor liability insurance. A Certificate of Insurance must be provided to the RAA 60 days prior to your event. The Town of Rockport requires that no liquor may be served after 11pm, and no bar service after 10:30. Please contact the Rockport Art Association to request a copy of the Rental Contract.


Smoking

Local fire ordinances do not permit smoking or the use of candles or open flames in any of the buildings. Guests may smoke in the courtyard that connects the buildings.
