Law Hamilton

Law Hamilton was juried into the Rockport Art Association & Museum in 2001 as a fine art photographer. She returned to the RAA&M Board of Directors in 2025, having previously represented the Photography Division on the Board from 2006 to 2014. She is most honored by the RAA&M Law Hamilton Award for Excellence in Photography, created by Steve Howard, then a Board Member, and the members of the Photography Division, who raised the funds to present the award annually for more than a decade.
Her 2026 solo exhibition at the RAA&M, Spirited Seas, features single-wave portraits alongside the Break Point Series, five images shot on January 26, 2026, that follow one wave from two frames before it breaks to two frames afterwards. Her 2022 solo exhibition, My Favorite Color ~ the Ocean, was shown at the RAA&M and the Newburyport Art Association explored how color and light changed between fast and long exposures.
Her award-winning images have been accepted into national juried shows including the Fine Art of Photography at the Plymouth Guild (2011 to 2026), the RAA&M National Juried Exhibition (2021 to 2026), and the Newburyport National Juried Show 2024 to 2026), in addition to many online and themed exhibitions.
Hamilton lives in, and is inspired by, the artistic community of Cape Ann, Massachusetts, and enjoys sharing her passion with new and emerging photographers.
