Mark Daly
Juried Artist Member since 2022
Mark Daly paints to preserve the light, movement, and rhythm of moments worth remembering. His work spans city scenes, maritime subjects, and coastal life, where a strong focus on design, values, and expressive paint application creates an immediate sense of atmosphere and motion.
With a background in music, Daly often thinks about how a painting should both look and “sound.” Considering rhythm, harmony, and tempo in visual terms helps him bring energy, balance, and life to his compositions.
Daly’s artwork is held in distinguished private, corporate, and university collections worldwide and is represented by select galleries. He has exhibited in nine solo exhibitions and numerous group shows, earning prominent awards in national juried competitions. He maintains a studio in Camden, Maine, and travels widely to paint on location.
Daly is a Board Member and Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society (AIS), a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America (OPA) and the American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA), a Juried Artist Member of the Rockport Art Association & Museum, and an elected Shareholder of the Cincinnati Art Museum.
In addition to painting, Daly is a Voting Member of the Recording Academy (Grammys) and the author of several business leadership books. He graduated from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences and earned his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
